Happy Easter 🐰🐣🐇🐤
Someone once described my clothing style as an “Easter egg throwing up.” While I am not sure they meant it as a compliment, I decided to take it as one. The world can be so boring in dark, monotonous colors. I like when things are bright, colorful, and expressive, and can be seen from a distance.
Seems like this place has the same idea. Superficial dream: to live in a neighborhood as bright and colorful as this! Forever associating these houses as the exploding Easter eggs paint job!
It was such a gorgeous and sunny day that I figured it would be a horrible crime to stay indoors! SO, I decided to go exploring in a neighborhood I didn’t know much about. I started in Sloane Square, and just kept walking for four hours. I had no real idea where I was, but being wonderfully lost is one of the most marvelous things! 🌸🌷🌹🌺🌼🌻
Getting lost in London has led to some surprising (and colorful) finds, like Bywater Street and Godfrey Street, which were just rows of colorful houses like this one! I felt like I was walking through an Easter basket 🐰🐣🐇🐤
I ended this holiday by laying in bed eating jelly beans out of the bag and watching Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in “Easter Parade,” one of my all time favorite movies. Since I had Monday off, I decided after that ended to watch the Rankin/Bass “Here Comes Peter Cottontail,” because I am not so secretly a 5 year old. A perfect ending to my day!
